Our All Blacks Expert Picks A Team To Beat Them

New Zealand rugby union
Would this World XV team be able to beat the All Blacks?

The All Blacks have won every test match in 2013 and are named The Unbeatables, but could you pick a World XV the beat The All Blacks?  It would be great to have a best of three match series between the All Blacks and The World XV like in 1992.

15.  Leigh Halfpenny (Wales) - Halfpenny has had a great year being an integral part of Wales winning the Six Nations and the Lions beating Australia.

14.  Israel Folau (Australia) - Folau is so strong and dangerous especially given that he has only recently switched to rugby.

13.  Wesley Fofana (France) - Fofana has been consistently good for a disappointing France this season.  He was a constant threat when France played the All Blacks.

12.  Jean de Villiers (South Africa) - Captain courageous has lead by example for the Springboks in 2013.

11.  Bryan Habana (South Africa) - This was such a close call, with George North also in great form.  Habana was impressive in scoring two tries against the All Blacks earlier this season.

10.  Johnny Sexton (Ireland) - Sexton was great for the British and Irish Lions and Ireland this year. I think the All Blacks have figured out both Morne Steyn and Quade Cooper.

9.  Will Genia (Australia) - While Genia has had a mixed season, I still think that on his day he is the best halfback in the world. He has this ability to be a nuisance against the All Blacks too.

8.  Sergio Parisse (Italy) - Parisse was nominated for the IRB Player of the Year. The Italian maestro gets the nod ahead of Duane Vermeulen.

7.  Michael Hooper (Australia) - Hooper has been one of Australia's best this season and has the pace to beat Richie McCaw to the ball in the loose.

6.  Thierry Dusautoir (France) - The French captain is in the twilight of his career, but he thrives when playing the All Blacks.

5.  Eben Etzebeth (South Africa) - Etzebeth had a barnstorming 2013 and is in the running for the IRB Player of the Year. This is a great effort given he is only 22.

4.  Alun Wyn Jones (Wales) - Jones gets the nod as the Lions and Welsh lineout maestro. He beats the injry prone Andries Bekker and the rejuvenated James Horwill.

3.  Adam Jones (Wales) - Jones started for the Lions and Wales, he is strong at scrum time and is very experienced these days.

2.  Bismarck du Plessis (South Africa) - This man isn't called "The Beast" but he is a beast. He is so strong and abrasive, just ask Dan Carter!

1. Alex Corbisiero (England) - Corbisiero gets the nod at loose head prop ahead of The Beast. There needs to be a token English player in this squad!

Wales 3
Australia 3

Ireland 1

What do you think of this World XV?  Would you give this team any chance of beating the All Blacks?  Who would you put in the World XV?

I think while this team is strong, it would struggle to gel enough to avoid a series defeat against the All Blacks.  Combinations don’t just happen overnight!
