Ospreys sign Guy Mercer on loan

Ospreys have confirmed the signing of flanker Guy Mercer on loan for the upcoming season of Pro 14.

The former England Under 16 has made 123 appearances for Bath since making his debut in 2010 and has gone on to captain the team.

Mercer will be available for Osprey's season opener against Zebre on Saturday and Bath Rugby director Todd Blackadder wished him good luck on his new campaign with the Welsh regional side.

"This is great opportunity for Guy to get some regular rugby under his belt and we'd like to wish him all the best for the upcoming season," Blackadder said.
