National 2 North Highlights - Sedgley Park 23 - Darlington Mowden Park 21

Talking Rugby Union’s latest highlights video comes from the National 2 North League this weekend, when Sedgley Park hosted Darlington Mowden Park in Manchester.

The league’s third and fourth placed teams locked horns in terrible conditions, with the home side coming out on top with a final score of 23 points to 21.

The conditions were awful for both teams with hail storms and very heavy down pours throughout the game but luckily the sunshine did come from the endeavours of both sets of players who somehow managed to make this a very good game of rugby.

The tough win for Manchester’s Sedgley Park leaves them still in fourth place in the league, with 35 points to their name; whilst Darlington are in third, six points ahead on 41. Both sides are still in the hunt of league leaders Macclesfield who have won every game so far this season and top the pile with 48 points.

Next weekend the Tigers are on the road as they cross the border to face Hull in Yorkshire. Darlington are back at home as they host Chester Rugby Club.
