Newcastle Falcons have secured the services of Murray McCallum, with the Scotland international prop extending his contract with the Gallagher Premiership club.
The 27-year-old tighthead, who joined the Falcons in December 2022, has become a key figure in the squad, making 19 appearances since his arrival at Kingston Park.
Known for his scrummaging strength and versatility, McCallum has also been capped four times by Scotland and has experience playing for Edinburgh, Glasgow Warriors, Worcester Warriors, and Nottingham.
Expressing his enthusiasm for continuing his career with Newcastle, McCallum stated:
"I am really happy to be staying with Newcastle Falcons. I’ve enjoyed my time here, and I feel like I’ve developed as a player since coming to the club.
"There’s a great group of lads here, and I’m looking forward to being part of the team as we push forward next season."
Newcastle Falcons’ head coach Alex Codling praised McCallum’s impact and work ethic, highlighting his importance to the squad’s future.
