Michael Rhodes extends contract with Saracens

Saracens flanker Michael Rhodes has signed a contract extension with the English Premiership champions until 2019.

Rhodes, who joined Saracens in 2015 from the Super Rugby club Stormers featured in 27 games for the club, playing a pivotal role in the Allianz Park based team's double triumph of Aviva Premiership and European Champions Cup last season.

Director of rugby at Saracens Mark McCall believes Rhodes is an integral part of the club's plan in the upcoming seasons.

"Michael has quickly become a key member of the team and he is entering his prime as a player," said McCall.

Apart from Saracens and Stormers, Rhodes has also played for Golden Lions, Lions, Natal Sharks, Sharks, and Western Province.
