Italy 0-33 England, Stadio Olimpico

Jamie George starred with a double while Marcus Smith made a 13-point contribution as England went on to blank Italy 33-0 at the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday.

This is first win for England as they move to the second position in the table with six points while Italy's losing streak continues.

Ben Youngs made his 114th Test appearance for England equalling the record for England men's appearances set by Jason Leonard.

Smith made an early impact as he combined with Max Malins to touchdown in the 9th minute and the fly-half also followed with the conversion to get England off to a 0-7 lead.

England had an injury setback as Jack Nowell failed a Head Injury Assessment and was replaced by Elliot Daly. A combination of Nick Isiekwe and Maro Itoje helped the red rose team to extend their lead further as they set up George over the line for the first time in the game in the 20th minute and Smith kicked the extras to make it 0-14.

England looked threatening as Itoje's try around the half-hour mark was denied for an offside but George got his second at the stroke of half-time following good work from Freddie Steward and with Smith kicking the conversion, the teams went into the break with a 0-21 scoreline.

The bonus point for Eddie Jones' men came early in the second half as a long pass from Smith allowed Daly to dot down and Italy thought they got their first points through Monty Ioane, who could not get past the last-man Steward.

Smith along with George Ford sent Malins through a gap and eventually Kyle Sinckler dived under the posts for England's final try as they went on to complete a 0-33 victory.

England will be hosting Wales in the third round on 26th February while Italy will be locking horns with Ireland on 27th February.
