Harlequins have confirmed that Academy product and club stalwart Luke Wallace will part ways at the end of December.

Wallace progressed through Harlequins Elite Player Development Group to the senior Academy and signed his first senior contract in 2011.

In his first season, he straightaway made an impact as he was nominated for the Breakthrough and Discovery Player of the Season in 2011/12 and captained them to A-League title and LV Cup title in 2012/13.

In 2019, he made a switch to Coventry and also had a stint with Leicester Tigers before rejoining Quins in 2021 making 198 appearances across two stints. He was also part of the Premiership side that lifted Premiership titles in 2011/12 and 2020/21.

“I have loved every minute of representing this Club," he told the club's official website.

"I’ll obviously always remember the big results, specifically lifting the two Premiership trophies and the LV Cup, but I think my fondest memories will be the wins away in Europe and the celebrations that followed with a great group of mates.

“I would like to thank my teammates, coaches, and staff for their huge support throughout my career.

"Lastly a special mention to the Quins faithful who have supported us through thick and thin.”

Harlequins are positioned third in the Gallagher Premiership table after winning five out of the eight matches.
