Cardiff Rugby has strengthened its backline with the return of Louie Hennessey on a short-term loan from Bath Rugby.
The 20-year-old centre, who started his rugby journey in the Cardiff pathway, rejoined the Arms Park squad today.
Hennessey initially progressed through the Cardiff Schools and Cardiff Rugby system while studying at Hartpury College. In 2022, he moved to Bath’s Senior Academy, where he has continued to develop his career.
He made his senior debut for Bath in September 2022 and recently committed to the English club by signing a long-term contract extension.
Hennessey’s return is particularly timely as Cardiff seeks to maintain momentum in its campaigns and overcome any injury challenges in the squad.
The young centre brings versatility and proven talent to the team, having gained valuable experience in one of England’s top rugby systems. His return to Cardiff is not only a homecoming but also an opportunity for him to showcase his growth and skills on a familiar stage.
Cardiff are positioned fifth in the United Rugby Championship table with four wins from seven matches.
