Lions will miss the services of wing Aphiwe Dyantyi for up to six weeks following a torn pectoral muscle that he sustained during the recently concluded Super Rugby clash against Jaguares at Estadio Jose Amalfitani.

The 23-year-old played until the 67th minute during the last weekend's encounter and will join Warren Whiteley, Courtnall Skosan, Jaco Kriel and Ruan Combrinck on the injury list for the South African club.

Dyantyi has been in prolific form this season and is tied at the top of the leading try-scorers for a South African along with Malcolm Marx.

However, there are some positives too for Lions with Robert Kruger and Howard Mnisi are in contention for the upcoming round of the tournament after showing significant progress from a concussion and a knee injury that they sustained previously.

Lions, who lost to Jaguares 49-35 last weekend are at the top of the South African Conference with four wins from six games and are scheduled to face Crusaders next at Emirates Airlines Park on 1st April.
