Leicester Tigers' Jasper Wiese to face disciplinary hearing

Leicester Tigers back-rower Jasper Wiese will be facing an independent disciplinary hearing on Wednesday following his yellow card incident in the recently concluded Gallagher Premiership game against Bristol Bears.

Wiese was yellow carded in the 72nd minute of the game in the game played at Ashton Gate on Sunday for a late hit on Callum Sheedy in contrary to RFU Regulation 19.

He will now appear before an independent disciplinary panel comprising Charles Cuthbert(chair) with John Greenwood and Ollie Clark and is set to receive minimum of a one-week ban if proved guilty.

This was also third yellow-card for Wiese in this season but despite his absence, the Tigers went on beat Bristol 28-26 with a last-minute try from Guy Porter as they maintained their unbeaten run in the season.

Leicester Tigers will be facing Newcastle Falcons in the 12th round of the competition on 2nd January at Mattioli Woods Welford Road Stadium.
