Leicester Tigers centre Solomone Kata has been handed a four-week suspension following his red card incident in the Gallagher Premiership opener against Exeter Chiefs.
The Tonga international was sent-off in the 71st minute of the game following a dangerous tackle on Jack Yeandle but despite his absence, the Tigers went on to the win the encounter with a three-point margin.
He will now miss all of Leicester's fixtures in October against Newcastle, Northampton Saints, Saracens and Gloucester.
The 29-year-old cannot participate in the coaching intervention programme having completed the same in April.
Leicester Tigers will be taking on Bath Rugby on Sunday in the second round of the Premiership on 29th September.
Kata will miss the following games:
October 5 v Newcastle Falcons
October 12 Northampton Saints
October 20 v Gloucester Rugby
October 26 v Saracens
