Bristol Bears have announced that Fijian international Kalaveti Ravouvou has signed a new long-term contract extension, solidifying his place in the club's plans for the future.

Ravouvou, who joined the Bears ahead of the 2023/24 season, has been a standout performer in the midfield. Known for his physicality, vision, and ability to break through defences, the 25-year-old has quickly become a key player in Bristol's lineup.

Director of Rugby Pat Lam praised Ravouvou’s contributions, emphasizing the value he brings to the team both on and off the pitch.

“Kalaveti has been outstanding since joining us. His performances have added a new dimension to our midfield, and his work ethic and commitment to the team are exemplary,” said Lam.

Ravouvou’s impact has been felt not only in his club performances but also on the international stage, representing Fiji with distinction. His experience and skill set have made him a formidable presence in the Gallagher Premiership and beyond.

The contract extension reflects Bristol Bears’ commitment to retaining top talent as they aim to build a competitive squad capable of challenging for silverware.

Ravouvou’s dynamic style of play aligns with the team’s attacking philosophy, and his continued presence is expected to bolster the Bears’ aspirations in domestic and European competitions.

“I’m excited to continue my journey with Bristol Bears,” Ravouvou said.

“The environment here is incredible, and I’m looking forward to contributing to the team’s success in the seasons to come.”
