Saracens have announced that Jersey Reds prop James Flynn will join the Gallagher Premiership ahead of the 2022/23 season.

The 28-year-old had stints with Championship sides Ampthill and Jersey and went on to make his debut for Sale Sharks in 2012 making 55 appearances for them.

He will now be part of Saracens ahead of the new season.

“My goal for the last two years has been to get back into the Premiership and I am incredibly happy and fortunate that I have been given an opportunity here at Saracens," he told the club's official website.

"I’m looking forward to the challenge and being a part of such a great squad".

Saracens director of rugby Mark McCall welcomed Flynn to the club.

“James is a great addition to our squad and we are very pleased to have him on board. He has good experience and is very motivated to make the best of this opportunity.

We’d of course like to thank Harvey Biljon and Jersey Reds for helping us accommodate this move and wish them all the best for this season.”
