Scorecard

Elton Jantjies contributed with 19 points as South Africa outplayed France with a 37-15 triumph at Growthpoint Kings Park on Saturday.

Scott Spedding gave a head start to France with a second minute try and Baptiste Serin's conversion made it 7-0 in favour of the visitors.

However, the remainder of the first half was dominated by the Springboks with Jantjies kicking three penalties and converted the two tries from Jan Serfontein and Siya Kolisi as South Africa ended the first half with a 23-7 lead.

With the third quarter going without a point, France had a daunting ask of covering the 16 point trail.

Francois Trinh-Duc kicked the much needed penalty in the 63rd minute while Damian Penaud also crossed over but Coenie Oosthuizen's touchdown followed by a converted try from Jantjies ensured Springboks completed a 37-15 victory.

The win has also given South Africa a 2-0 lead in the three-match series with the final game scheduled to be played on 24th June in Johannesburg.
