Bristol Bears have announced that hooker Jake Kerr has signed a permanent deal with the Gallagher Premiership club.

Having started his career with Watsonians and Boroughmuir, the 25-year-old made his senior career debut with Leicester Tigers in 2017 playing 27 Premiership appearances for them.

Kerr headed to Ashton Gate on a short-term deal during the 2020/21 season but now has signed a permanent deal ahead of the 2021/22 season.

Having represented Scotland at Under 16, Under 18 and Under 20 levels, Kerr made his Test debut for the Dark Blues during 2019 Six Nations encounter against Italy which also remains his solitary appearance.

Meanwhile, the club also confirmed the arrivals of Joe Cotton and Theo Strang on a trial basis until the end of 2021 while Chris Cook, who joined the side last year will make an exit with immediate effect.
