Gloucester Rugby has confirmed that Jack Singleton is sidelined with a 'significant lower leg injury'.

The 26-year-old sustained the blow during Gloucester's recently concluded Premiership game against Northampton Saints where he was forced to leave the field in the 32nd minute.

Club's COO Alex Brown revealed that Singleton has underwent a surgery on Monday and will be closely working with the medical team on his rehabilitation.

“We’re all gutted for Jack. He’s an influential member of our squad, and clearly, we are disappointed to lose his quality from the pitch over the next few months.

“Whilst it’s still too early to pinpoint how quickly Jack will return, we know that he will be doing everything he can to make a full and swift recovery.”

Gloucester are positioned fourth in the Gallagher Premiership table with five wins from nine matches.
