London Irish have bolstered their front-row options ahead of the 2022/23 season with the signing of Italy international prop Giosue Zilocchi.
The 25-year-old played for Lyons Piacenza and Calvisano before heading to Zebre ahead of the 2018/19 season.
He was also part of Italy Under 20 squad in 2016 and 2017 before going on to make his Test debut for the Azzurri in June 2018. He has capped 16 times for Italy and was recently part of their Six Nations campaign last month.
“We are delighted that Gio has agreed to join the Club and look forward to seeing him get going in a London Irish jersey,” said London Irish director of rugby Declan Kidney
“Gio, although only being 25 years old, has experienced a lot of international rugby that will only help him in the next stage of his career.
“We look forward to seeing him develop with us here at Hazelwood.”
London Irish are at 8th place in the Gallagher Premiership table with eight wins from 21 games.
