Scarlets 18 - 45 Sale Sharks, Parc y Scarlets

An inexperienced Scarlets side gallantly went down fighting against the Sale Sharks during their 18-45 defeat at Parc y Scarlets stadium in Llanelli during the Anglo-Welsh Cup clash on Friday.

Even though it appears to be a one-sided scoreline, the game was far more competitive for the young Scarlets against an experienced and strong Sale Sharks.

Head coach Euros Evans handed 24 players their debuts with many putting up impressive performance.

The visitors scored seven-tries with Josh Charnley (12), Rob Webber (18), Ben Curry (20), Will Cliff (47), Arron Reed (51), Josh Strauss (70) and Curtis Langdon (75) crossing over the try line.

Jac Price (5) and Lee Rees (38) were the only two try scorers for the hosts.
