Hogg Faces Hearing

Scotland full-back Stuart Hogg will face a disciplinary hearing in London on Wednesday.

Hogg was sent off for a late challenge on Wales fly-half Dan Biggar during Saturday's RBS 6 Nations clash in Cardiff.

Referee Jerome Garces initially sin-binned Hogg, but changed his decision to a red card after viewing the incident on the Millennium Stadium big screens.

It meant that Scotland played almost an hour of the game with 14 men, and they subsided to a record 51-3 defeat against Wales as the home side ran in seven tries.

"T he disciplinary hearing for Stuart Hogg, the Scotland full-back, who was dismissed with a red card during the RBS 6 Nations match between Wales and Scotland on Saturday, will be held on Wednesday 19 March 2014 in London," Six Nations organisers said, in a statement.

Hogg, 21, became only the third Scotland player to be sent off in a Test match, following Nathan Hines (2002) and Scott Murray (2006).
