Centre Gavin Henson will not be moving to the Newport Gwent Dragons next season, according to rugby director Lyn Jones.

Henson's one-year deal with Bath expires this summer and Bath are yet to decide on whether to offer the 32-year-old a new deal.

"We are talking to Gavin at the moment," Ford told Press Association Sport on Sunday.

"He has been brilliant in the respect that he is not rushing us to make a decision on him. He understands exactly what is going on. He has been as good as gold in terms of his attitude."

Henson had been linked with a possible move to the Dragons, but Jones has now ruled that out.

"I am sure by Wednesday night you'll hear where he's going next year. Sadly not here," Jones said, talking to BBC Wales Sport.

"Gavin's a quality player. Always has been and always will be. I think it's only right that there are teams interested in him.

"He has got a huge amount to offer the game of rugby."

Henson left the Swansea-based Ospreys in 2009, playing for Saracens, Toulon, Cardiff Blues and London Welsh before heading to Bath.
