Rugby Australia has secured another major piece of its future with Wallabies outside back Harry Potter re-signing until the end of 2027.
In a significant move for both national and Super Rugby levels, Potter will join the NSW Waratahs for the 2026 and 2027 seasons, leaving behind the Western Force where he has played since returning from England.
He came through the junior ranks at Moorabbin Rams before shining at Sydney University, where he won two Shute Shield titles.
His professional career took off with the Leicester Tigers in the English Premiership, where he scored 20 tries in 67 appearances and helped them win the 2022 title.
His return to Australian rugby began with the Western Force in 2024, making his Super Rugby Pacific debut in Round 1.
After earning his first Wallabies cap in Edinburgh—where he scored a try—Potter featured again in Newcastle in July 2025 during a gritty 21-18 win over Fiji.
“I’m really happy to have my future secured for the next two years,” Potter said.
“I’d like to thank the Western Force for giving me the opportunity to come home to Australia and pursue my dream of playing for the Wallabies, and I’m looking forward to joining the Waratahs ahead of next year.
"There’s some incredibly exciting opportunities on the horizon in Australian Rugby and I’ll be working hard to give myself every chance to be part of them in a gold jersey.”
