Harlequins 52-14 Newcastle, Twickenham Stoop

Harlequins dismantled Newcastle Red Bulls 52–14 at the Twickenham Stoop in a one-sided Gallagher Premiership clash.

The Quins showcased ruthless attacking flair from the opening whistle, with Luke Northmore crossing in the 10th minute after a slick backline move. Marcus Smith converted, setting the tone for what was to follow.

By the 17th minute Tyrone Green had already raced over for his first of two tries, exploiting a defensive gap out wide.

Will Porter added another five minutes later with excellent support play through the middle, before Rodrigo Isgro’s power down the flank delivered the bonus-point try in the 28th minute.

Smith’s immaculate boot ensured each of these scores was converted, punishing Newcastle for every lapse making it 28-0.

Green struck again just before half-time, capping a dominant first half that left Newcastle reeling.

Early in the second half Will Evans powered across to extend the lead. Cassius Cleaves then added his name to the scoreboard in the 54th minute after a sweeping move. Smith converted again to push the tally beyond reach at 47-0.

George Turner crashed over from a driving maul in the 62nd minute, before replacement Ollie Leatherbarrow made immediate impact with a try at the 75th minute mark.

Brett Connon converted Leatherbarrow’s score and was on target again in the 82nd minute when prop Murray McCallum bundled over to salvage some pride for the visitors.
