Gloucester Rugby have announced the signing of Wales international Tomos Williams ahead of the 2024/25 season.
A Cardiff academy graduate, Williams made his senior debut as a replacement against Munster in 2013. He has racked up 137 appearances scoring 25 tries for the province and has been one of the key performer for them in the ongoing season.
Also a former Wales Under 20 international, the 29-year-old made his Test debut in 2018 and has won 53 caps for his nation while winning the Six Nations tournament twice. He was also part of the squad that competed in the Rugby World Cup in France last year.
The move to go out of the province follows after Welsh regions face further budget cut next season from £5.2m to £4.5m.
Gloucester director of rugby George Skivington is delighted with the addition of Williams to the squad.
"Everyone at the Club is thrilled to welcome a player of Tomos’ calibre," said Skivington to the club's official website.
“Anybody that has watched him play before, whether that be for Cardiff or for Wales, knows how much of an attacking threat he can be, and we’re excited to see what he can bring to Gloucester Rugby.”
Gloucester are positioned ninth in the Gallagher Premiership table with two wins from 11 matches.
