Glasgow Warriors have confirmed the signing of former Worcester back-rower Cameron Neild for the remainder of the 2022/23 season.

Neild's contract with Worcester was made redundant after the club entered into administration last month and now will be heading to the Scotstoun for the remainder of the ongoing campaign to provide cover for the club's international and injured players.

The 28-year-old played bulk of his professional rugby career with Sale Sharks having racked up over 100 appearances for them between 2013 and 2022. He also had a brief loan stint with Macclesfield.

“I’m delighted to join Glasgow,” Neild told glasgowwarriors.org

“It’s been a tricky time for me with what happened at Worcester, however, I’m thrilled to be joining such a prestigious club and to get back to doing the job I love – playing rugby.

“It’s all happened pretty quickly, and everyone has been really welcoming – I’ve enjoyed my first few days at the club.

“My goal now is to get back out on the pitch, play some good rugby and win some rugby matches.”

Glasgow Warriors are positioned seventh in the United Rugby Championship table with three wins from six matches.
