Glasgow Warriors have confirmed that they have resumed their training ahead of their upcoming United Rugby Championship fixture against Ospreys.

The Warriors suffered back to back setbacks as their derby games against Edinburgh in the 8th and 9th rounds of the competition were postponed due to Covid outbreak.

Nevertheless, the club released a statement revealing that the players have returned to the Scotstoun Stadium to prepare for the game against the Welsh regional side scheduled to be played on 8th January.

"Players have returned to Scotstoun to begin preparations for this weekend’s fixture against Ospreys," read the statement.

"Per Scottish Government guidelines the game will be played for all intents and purposes spectator-free.

"The club continues to work closely with the URC, Public Health Scotland and other relevant stakeholders, and would like to thank supporters for their well wishes for those affected in recent weeks."

Glasgow Warriors are positioned fifth in the table with four wins from seven matches while Ospreys are at fourth place.
