France international Damian Penaud will be making an exit from Clermont at the end of the ongoing season.

Penaud played for the Clermont Academy side and was selected for the France U20 squad for the 2015 World Rugby Under 20 Championship.

He made his senior debut for the club in 2015 and has racked up 52 tries for the French club since then.

The 26-year-old will make a switch to Top 14 rivals Bordeaux-Begles after signing a contract with them until 2026.

Penaud made his France debut in 2017 and has been an integral part of the side since then. He had an outstanding 2022 where he scored eight tries as the Les Bleus went on to claim the Six Nations Grand Slam.

Clermont are positioned 10th in the Top 14 table with five wins from 13 games.
