France second-row Bernard Le Roux will face a disciplinary hearing on Tuesday after he was cited for a foul play following the recently concluded game against Wales.
The 31-year-old was alleged to have hit Wales skipper Alun Wyn Jones with the elbow at the end of the first quarter in the friendly game in Paris and now could miss the final round of Six Nations game against Ireland if proved guilty.
A statement released by Six Nations confirmed that Le Roux will appear in a video conference before a three-person independent disciplinary panel.
"A disciplinary hearing will be convened via Zoom video on Tuesday 27 October at 13:00 in front of a World Rugby appointed thee man independent panel comprised of Charles Cuthbert (UAE - Chairman), Frank Hadden (Sco) and Leon Lloyd (Eng)," read the statement from Six Nations.
France are at third place in the Six Nations table with three wins from four games.
