Wasps have confirmed the signing of tighthead prop Jack Owlett from Premiership rivals Exeter Chiefs for the next season.

The 23-year-old enjoyed BUCS title victory in 2016 when he was part of University of Exeter side after which he went on to showcase his potential in the A league.

“Moving to Wasps is a fantastic opportunity to test myself at a big club with such a rich history," said Owlett, who has made six first-team appearances with the club.

“Wasps boast some incredible talent and being able to surround myself with that can only be good for my development.

“I want to push on and develop while being part of a successful team, competing for honours on both the domestic and European fronts.”

Meanwhile, Wasps director of rugby Dai Young is delighted with the news and is confident of nurturing his talent.

“Jack is a promising young player who we’re looking forward to working with to try and help reach his potential.

“With the recent signing of Jeff Toomaga-Allen and also Kieran Brookes both at the club next season, Jack will have a wealth of experience to tap into and will no doubt make huge strides in his development.”
