Lloyd has followed fellow Wales internationals Alex Mann and James Botham in agreeing a new deal with Cardiff.

The 24-year-old had attracted interest from clubs in both Wales and England, but has decided to continue with his home club.

Cardiff Hooker Builds Strong Wales Career

Born in Penarth, Lloyd came through the Cardiff pathway and has developed into an established figure in the squad.

Originally a back-row forward, he later switched to hooker after representing Wales Under-20s and made his first-team debut in 2023.

He has now made 39 appearances for Cardiff and earned eight caps for Wales, underlining his rise at both club and international level.

Homegrown Cardiff Player Eyes Bigger Future

Lloyd said representing his home club remains a source of pride for both him and his family. He also pointed to his development this season and his desire to keep improving as part of Cardiff’s long-term progress.

“I’m delighted to extend my stay at Cardiff. It’s a club that means a lot to me and I am very grateful for the trust they continue to put in me.

“To represent your home club is always special and it is something me and my family are very proud of.

“I feel like I have grown and developed a lot this season, both on and off the pitch. I have worked hard to improve my consistency and overall game, but I am also really keen to continue learning and developing".
