England’s preparations for the upcoming Six Nations tournament have been dealt a blow with the confirmation that winger Immanuel Feyi-Waboso will miss the championship due to a shoulder injury.

The 20-year-old rising star suffered the injury during training and will now undergo an extended rehabilitation period.

Feyi-Waboso sustained the shoulder injury during an intense training session as England’s squad ramped up their preparations for the Six Nations.

Following medical assessments, it was determined that the severity of the injury requires prolonged rest and recovery, ruling him out of action for the entirety of the tournament.

Known for his pace and agility, the Exeter Chiefs winger had been expected to make a significant impact during the championship, particularly following his strong performances in recent domestic matches.

Feyi-Waboso’s absence presents a challenge for England head coach Steve Borthwick, who will need to reshuffle his backline options.

England will kick-start the upcoming Six Nations campaign with a clash against Ireland in the opening round at Aviva Stadium on 1st February.
