Bath Rugby have confirmed the signing of England Under 20 international Cameron Redpath from Gallagher Premiership rivals Sale Sharks.

The 20-year-old links up with the Recreation Ground outfit with immediate effect and will be available for the remainder of the season. He will be in contention for selection for the round 12 Gallagher Premiership home clash against Bristol Bears scheduled on 1st March.

He was called up to England squad for the 2018 tour of South Africa but could not feature due to injury. Redpath also featured for the England Under 20 side during the Under 20 World Championship in 2019 before linking up with England squad ahead of the recently concluded Six Nations game against Ireland.

"We’re excited to welcome Cameron to our Club. We continue to work hard to grow our game and to build our squad, and we see Cameron as a very exciting young talent who adds strength and depth to the superb midfield players we already have here at Bath," said Bath director of rugby Stuart Hooper to the official website of the club.

“He’s getting stuck in straight away and we are looking forward to seeing him play in the Blue, Black and White.

"We’ve got some big matches coming up and having more options to tackle the varying challenges the likes of Bristol, Exeter and Irish will bring gives us more opportunity to control the matches and get some big wins on the board."

Bath are positioned fifth in the Gallagher Premiership table with seven wins from 11 games.
