England coach Eddie Jones is set to announce the squad for the autumn internationals on Wednesday.

With a number of prominent players already ruled out of it due to injuries, it will be interesting to see, who will Jones fall back to especially at openside. James Haskell, Jack Clifford, Sam Jones, Mike Williams and Maro Itoje are sidelined with their respective injuries and Jones had already made it clear that former England captain Chris Robshaw will not be used at number seven.

But, considering the amount of specialists injured, Jones might fall back to Robshaw.

Northampton Saints flanker Teimana Harrison was fast-tracked by Jones for the Australian series but his performance left a lot to be desired with the coach demanding more physicality from the 24-year-old.

Saracens flanker Jackson Wray and Wasps back row Guy Thompson were also considered as options for the autumn internationals but reports emerge that the pair did not get any information from Jones until now.

Injuries to George Kruis and Itoje might present opportunities for Wasps' Joe Launchbury and Northampton Saints' Courtney Lawes at the international level.

While two out of Semesa Rokoduguni, Marland Yarde and Jonny May will be in contention to make it to the 32-man squad with Anthony Watson and Jack Nowell set to miss the Tests against South Africa, Fiji, Argentina and Australia, all of which will be played at Twickenham.
