Ealing Trailfinders flanker Guy Thompson will make a return back to Jersey Reds ahead of the 2021/22 season.

The 34-year-old previously played for Reds between 2011 and 2013 but now is set to return back to them for a second stint this summer.

Thompson joined Ealing in 2020 and went on to make 12 appearances for them and also had featured for Richmond, Wasps and Leicester Tigers in the past.

Trailfinders Director of Rugby Ben Ward wished Thompson good luck for his stint with Jersey.

“Guy has come in and used his Premiership experience to help lead our team, to a successful season in the Championship. He’s been a great player to have around the squad both on and off the pitch and we wish him all the best in his new adventure at Jersey.”

Ealing Trailfinders suffered a 0-60 loss in the first play-off of the ongoing Championship against Saracens at Trailfinders Sports Club. The second play-off game has been scheduled to be played on 20th June at Stonex Stadium.
