Connacht scrum-half Colm Reilly will be out of action for 12 weeks following an ankle injury.

The 24-year-old sustained the blow during last weekend's clash against Leinster and now is set to undergo a surgery that will keep him on the sidelines for up to three months.

The absence of Reilly will see Caolin Blade being the first-choice scrum-half with Michael McDonald set to provide the back up.

Meanwhile, Bundee Aki is set to make his first appearance of the season after overcoming a hamstring injury while Gavin Thornbury and Shayne Bolton are in line to play their first game after overcoming respective knee and hamstring injuries.

Connacht are positioned eighth in the United Rugby Championship table with four wins from seven matches.
