Leinster centre Robbie Henshaw is a doubt for Saturday’s United Rugby Championship round nine clash against Connacht at the Aviva Stadium.

The Ireland international picked up a finger injury during Leinster’s 13–8 win over Munster at Thomond Park and was forced to leave the field shortly before half-time, with Charlie Tector coming on in his place.

Leinster confirmed that Henshaw’s availability will be assessed later in the week before a final decision is taken.

Leinster have received a small boost with back-row forward James Culhane returning to training.

However, head coach Leo Cullen continues to manage a lengthy injury list, with Hugo Keenan, Jamie Osborne, Ryan Baird, Jordan Larmour, Garry Ringrose, RG Snyman and Jimmy O’Brien all ruled out of the Connacht fixture.

Last weekend’s victory over Munster was Leinster’s fifth win of the URC season and moved them up to sixth place in the table on 25 points after a challenging opening phase of the campaign.
