New Zealand have called-up Chiefs hooker Samisoni Taukei'aho as an injury cover in the squad for the first Test against Fiji to be played in Dunedin on Saturday.

The decision follows after Asafo Aumua has reported to have developed concussion symptoms following the game against Tonga which the All Blacks went on to win 102-0.

Aumua came off the bench in the 47th minute at Mount Smart Stadium and played the remainder of the second half.

Meanwhile, Taukei'aho has captained Tonga Under 15 team in 2014 and went on to make his professional club rugby debut with provincial side Waikato in 2016 with his Super Rugby debut for Chiefs coming in 2017.

The two-match series between New Zealand and Fiji will be played on 10th and 17th July with Dunedin and Hamilton being the venues.
