Cheetahs return back to winning ways defeating Sunwolves 7-47

Cheetahs have finally managed to end their losing streak as they thrashed Sunwolves by 7-47 in their Super Rugby encounter at Prince Chichibu Memorial Stadium on Saturday.

This is Cheetah's third win in 13 games this season as they move to second position in Africa 1 Conference while Sunwolves with 11 defeats from 12 matches languish at the bottom of the table.

As Sunwolves failed to add any point in the first half, tries from Uzair Cassiem and replacement Niell Jordaan along with a double conversion from fly half Niel Marais ensured Cheetahs gained a 14 point lead at half time.

Marais further extended Cheetahs' advantage in the second half with a 41st minute touchdown to increase their lead to 19 points following which Sunwolves finally managed to open their account through a try from Sam Wykes.

The last 15 minute was a absolute carnage from Cheetahs as Cassiem, Torsten van Jaarsveld, Tian Meyer and Sergeal Petersen all scored tries to complete a 40 point victory.
