Callum Sheedy has signed a new contract with Cardiff Rugby, with the fly-half committing his future to his hometown club after becoming a key figure since returning to the Arms Park in 2024.

The Wales international has played an important role in Cardiff’s push near the top end of the table and says he is determined to help the team reach even greater heights.

Callum Sheedy New Cardiff Contract Confirmed

Sheedy’s contract extension is a major boost for Cardiff as they continue to build momentum with a young and ambitious squad.

Since rejoining the club, the 30-year-old has made 38 appearances and scored 168 points, underlining his value as both a playmaker and leader.

The fly-half said staying at Cardiff was an easy decision, describing his return to the club as everything he had hoped for.

“Staying at Cardiff was an absolute no brainer for me. When I signed for the club two years ago it was all about coming back to my home club and where it all started. It has been everything I dreamed of and more.

“The players and staff here are amazing and the culture we have built together makes every day so enjoyable.

“Playing at the Arms Park is the most special feeling. We have incredible supporters, they are close to the pitch and the atmosphere is electric. "

Callum Sheedy Cardiff Rugby Return

Sheedy came through the Cardiff pathway before earning a scholarship at Millfield School, which led to his move to Bristol Bears.

During a decade at Ashton Gate, he made 160 appearances and scored 1,165 points, helping Bristol secure promotion and establishing himself as one of their most influential backs.
