Bulls have announced the signing of flanker Phumzile Maqondwana ahead of the 2022/23 season.
Maqondwana started his professional rugby career with Golden Lions in 2018 and switched to Pumas in 2019. He was an integral part of the Pumas side that went on to win the Currie Cup recently.
The 25-year-old will now feature in the United Rugby Championship, the Champions Cup and the Currie Cup for the Pretoria based club.
“We are very happy to have signed Phumzile Maqondwana for the next two years at the Bulls,” said director of rugby Jake White.
“He is definitely one of the most exciting players in the country at the moment. We have no doubt that he will add to the depth of our squad and make a great contribution, both as a player and a leader in the upcoming season and beyond.”
He will now join the likes of Sbu Nkosi, Ruan Vermaak and Dylan Smith in the recent signings made by the club.
