So are we entering week 2 or week 3 of this years competition? Some teams have played 2 games others none. We are out and about this Wednesday with cameras at Leeds Met, UCLAN and EdgeHill University

We will also be getting news from around the grounds that we will keep you up to speed with, much as we did with the Manchester and Leeds varsity games.

We will also be calling up photographs from our archives of games from 2010 onwards but if you have any to share then please do send them to us.

We are also happy to receive match reports and conduct interviews; just email us at redpandabranded4@gmail.com

To this week, the Premier North A sees two games in Leeds, one at Leeds Met and one at the University.

Both should be tough affairs with Leeds Met taking on the well organised Loughborough University; the club will be on a high after their National One victory versus Fylde.

The second game sees Durham on the road. Coach Alex Keay seems pleased with the team’s pre-season and feels that this is a significant advantage having worked hard on fitness.

He will also be hoping that having lost 9 regulars from last season his new players will be bedded in.

We are taking Leeds Met to win and also Durham.

In Premier South A, Exeter take on Cardiff Met at home. Whilst in Cardiff, the University are playing Bath. If Bath win their away games in Wales this year as they did in 2011/12 they can challenge Hartpury.

We are taking Exeter and Bath to win

In Premier B, the stand out games look to be Sheffield Hallam versus Edinburgh and Reading versus University of Cardiff (2).

However, don’t be surprised if two other fixtures deliver great rugby; they are Birmingham versus Durham 2s plus Bath 2s versus Hartpury 2s.

Other games we will be keeping in touch with are UCLAN versus Bishop Burton; Edgehill v Lancaster and Liverpool 2s v Man Met - interestingly Man Met lost to Liverpool 3s last week.
