The 2025 British & Irish Lions squad will be officially announced on Thursday, May 8.
Head coach Andy Farrell will reveal his selections live in front of fans at an event in London, hosted at Indigo at The O2.
The much-anticipated announcement will determine which players will represent the prestigious touring side as they prepare for their summer series in Australia.
A ticket ballot for the squad unveiling will be available soon, according to a social media update from the British & Irish Lions. This event will provide rugby fans with a first glimpse at Farrell’s choices for the tour, as the Lions gear up for one of the sport’s most iconic competitions.
The squad selection will be closely watched, with debates already underway about which players will make the cut.
As the announcement date approaches, speculation continues over the inclusion of key players from Ireland, England, Scotland, and Wales, with Farrell tasked with assembling a squad capable of taking on the Wallabies in their own backyard.
The British & Irish Lions will begin their preparations with a warm-up match against Argentina at Aviva Stadium in Dublin on June 20 before heading to Australia for their highly anticipated Test series.
The first Test match against Australia will take place on July 19 at Brisbane’s Suncorp Stadium, followed by the second fixture at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on July 26. The tour will conclude with the final Test at Sydney’s Accor Stadium on August 2.
