Bristol Bears have confirmed the signing of Peter McCabe, Niyi Adeolokun and Keiron Assiratti on short-term contracts.

McCabe made his professional rugby debut with Munster in 2016 and also had a loan stint with Connacht before joining them full time in 2017.

Nigeria born Adeolokun has played a solitary test for Ireland in 2016 and will head to Ashton Gate from Connacht. He along with McCabe has signed contract until the end of the 2019/20 season while former Wales Under 20 prop Assiratti will join on a loan stint from Cardiff Blues.

“With the unprecedented playing schedule in the Premiership that we face, it’s important to ensure we have plenty of depth and cover in key positions, especially with the midweek fixtures," said Director of Rugby Pat Lam.

“Losing Max [Lahiff] and John [Afoa] on Tuesday has left us light in the front row, especially with Jake [Armstrong] already unavailable, so we needed cover immediately.

“The guys come straight into our environment and will be working quickly to learn our system and the Bears Team Culture. I’d like to thank John Mulvihill at Cardiff for his co-operation in agreeing Keiron’s loan deal.”

Bristol Bears are positioned second in the Gallagher Premiership table with 10 wins from 16 games.
