Munster Rugby have confirmed that Ben O'Connor has signed a new contract, securing his future with the province.

The promising young player will continue his development in the Academy for the upcoming season before transitioning to the senior squad on a two-year deal.

Under the terms of the contract, O'Connor will remain an Academy player for the 2025/26 season. He will then move onto a development contract in 2026/27, followed by a full senior contract in 2027/28.

This structured progression highlights Munster’s commitment to developing young talent and ensuring a clear pathway from the Academy to the professional game.

Recognized for his versatility and skill, O'Connor has impressed at the Academy level, demonstrating his potential for future success. His performances have shown maturity and readiness to take on greater challenges, making him a key prospect for Munster Rugby.

Munster have six wins from 12 matches in the United Rugby Championship and are positioned fifth. They will be taking on Glasgow Warriors next on 22nd March at Scotstoun Stadium.
