Argentina head coach Felipe Contepomi has made a single change to his starting lineup for Friday’s highly anticipated clash against France in Paris.
Scrumhalf Gonzalo Garcia replaces Gonzalo Bertranou, who has been omitted from the matchday squad.
The adjustment comes as Argentina prepares for the final match of their November international schedule. Following a narrow 22-19 loss to Ireland in Dublin last week, Contepomi opted for minimal changes to his side. Lautaro Bazan Velez has been named on the bench as scrumhalf cover.
Left wing Mateo Carreras and flanker Marcos Kremer return to the squad and are included among the replacements. Kremer has been sidelined since suffering a knee injury during Argentina’s dramatic 29-28 victory over South Africa in September, while Carreras missed the last two Tests to stay home for the birth of his first child.
Argentina has shown resilience during their November campaign, including a commanding 50-18 win over Italy earlier this month. Despite the close defeat to Ireland, Contepomi sees no need for major changes, emphasizing the continuity and form of his squad.
Friday’s Test against France promises to be a challenging finale to Argentina’s November internationals. The Pumas will aim to conclude their tour on a high note as they face one of the world’s top rugby teams in front of a passionate Paris crowd.
