The RFU and England2015 delivered a sporting event that on many levels was recognised as the most successful ever; we fans remember it as RWC2015.

The best two teams reached the final and the All Blacks were worthy winners; their two heroes Dan Carter and Richie McCaw going out on a high. The Japan versus South Africa game will long live in our memories.

However, rugby union fans in England are still left wondering what went wrong with their national team. Despite the RFU putting together "another" review panel, there are still very few answers. There is a new coaching team under Eddie Jones but that even caused controversy with Bristol and Northampton feeling that approaches to their employees were inappropriate.

The Irish rugby media had their own day of needing answers yesterday when Andy Farrell was appointed Irish Defence Coach under Joe Schmidt. Respected Irish journalist George Hook commented: "I'm unhappy with the appointment of a failed coach who wielded excessive power and crucially he lacked independent thinking".

These were strong words. However, this opens up the debate for English fans as to what went wrong with their RWC2015 campaign.

Answers are still needed, there are so many open questions. Here at TRU we will continue to ask questions, comment on respected rugby journalists opinions and offer up our own thoughts and insights.

The new team leading England Rugby have our utmost respect and we desperately want them to provide a team that delivers results and makes us proud.

We want to smile about the highest tier of rugby; the national team.
