Saracens have confirmed that fullback Alex Goode has signed a two-year contract extension with the Gallagher Premiership club.

Goode joined the academy structure at Saracens ahead of the 2006/07 season and made his club debut against Bristol in 2008. With 357 appearances to his name, he is already the most-capped player for his club.

The 35-year-old also has won five Premiership titles and three Heineken Champions Cups with Saracens and is now extending his stay at the club for another two seasons.

“Saracens is in my blood so I’m really excited to be staying here for another couple of seasons," he told the club's official website.

I’m incredibly proud to represent this club, the memories that we’ve made will last a lifetime and I really believe there are more to come as well.”

The 35-year-old also represented England 21 times since making his international debut in 2012.

“We are thrilled that Goodey will be continuing his incredible career at the club," said director of rugby Mark McCall.

He continues to play consistently well week in week out on the one hand and is enormously supportive and helpful to our younger players on the other.

"As our playing squad continues to evolve, Alex’s experience and know how will allow many of the next generation to accelerate their development.”
