Wasps have confirmed that lock Tim Cardall has penned a new deal with the Gallagher Premiership club.

Cardall made his debut in the 2018/19 season of Premiership Rugby Shield for Wasps A side and made his first team debut in the 2019/20 season.

Overall, the 24-year-old has made 25 appearances for the club including 16 in the last season. He has also played 13 times in the Premiership in the last two seasons.

“I am delighted to have extended my contract at Wasps," said Cardall to the official website of the club.

“It was an easy decision for me to commit my future here, we have a really good group of players and staff and I’m excited to continue working with them.

“I’m really enjoying my time at the club and I have loved getting the opportunities to play recently.

“As a club we have a really good environment and I’m very excited about being part of the clubs future, as I feel I have a lot more to give.”

Wasps head coach Lee Blackett is delighted in retaining the services of Cardall.

“We are thrilled that Tim has agreed a new contract with us.

“Tim has been a vital member of the strong group of locks at the club, as well as being a very popular member of the squad.

"He has had a really good last 12 months and shown a great appetite to learn over the last few seasons. We are all looking forward to working with him further in the coming years.”

Wasps are positioned fifth in the Gallagher Premiership table with four wins from seven matches and will face Northampton Saints in the eighth round at Ricoh Arena on 6th February.
