Racing 92 have confirmed that France international Virimi Vakatawa has penned a new deal with the French club.

Vakatawa made his professional rugby debut with Racing 92 in 2011 and after a two-year stint he was released from the contract to represent Sevens team in 2013.

The 28-year-old made his debut for France 15s during the Six Nations game against Italy in 2016 and has gone on to play 27 Tests including three appearances in the 2019 World Cup and is currently part of their Autumn Nations Cup campaign.

He returned back to Racing 92 ahead of the 2017/18 season and has featured in over 100 games for the side combined across both the stints.

"We are more than delighted to continue our great story with Virimi Vakatawa, who has been with the club since 2009," read a tweet from the club.
