Queensland Reds ended a 11-game losing streak against Waratahs as they started the opening round of Super Rugby AU with a 32-26 win at Suncorp Stadium.

Liam Wright, Filipo Daugunu, Tate McDermott and Harry Wilson scored tries for Reds while Harry Johnson-Holmes and Jack Maddocks crossed over for Waratahs as the scores were levelled 26-26 until the last five minutes when James O'Connor kicked two penalties to steer the home side through.
