Talking Rugby Union are delighted to have been selected as a media partner for Rugby Expo 2018.

The two day event, which will be hosted at Wasps' Ricoh Arena, offers sponsors and exhibitors from all corners of the game unrivalled access to network with the highest quality group of rugby-focused delegates.

TRU is proud to be a partner for Rugby Expo for 2018, which adds to the current relationships we have with the NCA and BUCS where we promote the National Leagues and University rugby in our country.

Commenting on the latest partnership Max Ashcroft, TRU Marketing Director, said: “Rugby Expo is a great place for influencers from all corners of the rugby community to share positive ideas and initiatives.

"We are delighted to be able to work in partnership with event this year and hope our subscribers will take the trip to Coventry in April to experience Rugby Expo first hand.”

In 2016, Rugby Expo welcomed more than 500 delegates including senior figures from many Premiership clubs as well as key decision makers from the sport’s governing bodies, community club representatives, suppliers, brands and rights holders.

TRU took advantage of the high profile figures who attended in 2016, gaining interviews with CEO Mark McCafferty, Wasps' Guy Thompson, former Wasps CEO David Armstrong and ex-England international Leon Lloyd which you can hear below from our podcast we recorded.

Speaking ahead of the event, Jonathan Wilson, event director, said: “We are delighted to confirm our return to the Ricoh for 2018 and to share our vision and plans for the new-look Rugby Expo. I also want to place my thanks, on record, to Wasps who have worked with us to help create our new vision for Rugby Expo.

“The event is very well-established, but we are always looking at new ways in which to work with our partners to refresh our offering, and further support both sides and codes of the sport."

Stuart Cain, commercial director of Wasps and the Ricoh Arena, added: “Rugby Expo is a fantastic platform that brings together the pro and community games and we’re proud to welcome the event back to the Ricoh Arena.

“The relationship is a true partnership and we’re looking forward to working closely with the event team to help support and implement the exciting changes outlined for 2018.”

This year, Rugby Expo will introduce a new format designed to further support and engage those from the professional and community game and will also continue its balance between the professional and community game.

As well as this, Rugby Expo 2018 will have a greater focus on interactive content, with sessions offering expert opinion, practical demonstrations and take-home advice from a playing, coaching and technical perspective, to further engage with volunteers at the heart of the community game.
